"Who is Biricik?"

A prostitute. Red-haired, always gazing wearily. She doesn’t talk much. In fact, she doesn’t talk at all.

I’ve never heard her voice. But she’s always been there during my tough times.

She works cheap, you see.

She stays with me until morning. By the time I wake up, she’s gone. As if she never existed.

Like a dream;

According to the Torah, God put Adam to sleep and created Eve. They say the woman is the man’s dream.

Maybe that’s why so many of our nights are sleepless. Every dream

remains unfinished by its very nature.

If death is eternal sleep, then life is its most noble embellishment for a woman.

But who is she, really? Biricik...

A pencil sketch of a man sitting in an armchair with a woman asleep in his lap, titled 'Biricik' poster.
